Whole School Safeguarding Training

 Whole School Safeguarding Children 2019

 

All school staff are responsible for safeguarding children. The most recent statutory guidance: Keeping children safe in education 2018 states that that training must be delivered to all staff annually to develop their knowledge and skills.

This course will enable participants to act appropriately and with confidence by providing a working understanding of the legal framework including categories and signs and symptoms of child abuse, staff roles and responsibilities and clear procedures to manage concerns.
Participants will gain a working knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education 2018 with particular focus on part 1 and issues outlined in Annex A

Emotional Intelligence and the Whole Child

A training session for teachers, teaching assistants and other support staff. The course will reinforce the importance of emotional intelligence. It will explore initiatives and practice developed by schools and nurseries to help children to thrive in this area, and to help staff to contribute with greater confidence to children's emotional learning.

Whole School Self Esteem - for teaching and non-teaching staff

This one day school based course is for the whole staff team, and will introduce participants to the idea of a “whole school "community. The session will enable participants to build structures and procedures to aid communication and raise self-esteem for all.

Responding to Bullying

A Workshop for primary school teachers. This workshop will enable teaching staff to recognise bullying and to work more effectively with the children involved.
